JAMRUD:
Sipah tribesmen from Bara tehsil in Khyber Agency on Thursday agreed to hand over ‘wanted’ clan members after hammering out a deal with the political administration.

Elders and maliks from the Sipah and other tribes of Bara met with the political administration in Peshawar on Thursday.  Following the jirga, the elders announced they will not allow terrorists to use their lands and will back the government in the fight against terrorism.

An 80-member ‘peace’ militia will be raised. If a criminal involved in kidnapping or murder should return, they would be fined between Rs1 million and Rs3 million while their houses will also be demolished according to tribal customs.

Further, they pledged that all wanted tribesmen will be handed over by December 25.
