Caught at last: Two murder mysteries resolved

DSP Fayaz said Yaseen, a resident of Charsadda, killed his wife when she refused to partake in prostitution

Two suspects were arrested for the murder of police constable Fayaz Khan. Shabqadar DSP Muhammad Fayaz told the media that a snatched car was en route from Battagram to Peshawar 


and was signalled by the police to stop at Haji Zai check post.


Kashif Khan, the driver, confessed he and his accomplice, Aman Khan, snatched the car on October 28 in Bajaur Agency. Kashif further revealed that he ran the car through Ekka Ghund check post, killing Fayaz.


Meanwhile, another man was arrested by the police for killing his wife and selling their four-year-old son. DSP Fayaz said Yaseen, a resident of Charsadda, killed his wife when she refused to partake in prostitution. Janbaz Khan, the deceased’s father, told police that his son-in-law was trying to force the victim into prostitution. According to DSP Fayaz, Yaseen killed his wife on October 29 and she was buried in Peshawar as an unidentified victim. “After killing his wife, Yaseen sold his four-year-old son Ibadullah to Irshad,” DSP Fayaz said. He added Irshad was arrested by police at Haji Zai check post, while Yaseen was also taken into custody and confessed to his crimes.
