Conspiracy foiled: Two suspected terrorists nabbed

Police said the men had been planning to attack officials associated with law enforcement agencies in the city

LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department claimed on Tuesday to have arrested two men affiliated with the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban (TTP). Officials said police had recovered 410 kilogrammes of explosives, a detonator, an electric circuit and one foot of prima-cord from Bedian Road resident Muhammad Yusuf and Mohmand Agency resident Anzar Gul. Police said the raid had been conducted on a tip-off received earlier. Police said the men had been planning to attack officials associated with law enforcement agencies in the city. The CTD has been looking into the matter.
