In a first : APS inaugurated in Wana

The corps commander also announced that a hospital will be established in Angoor Adda

Peshawar Corps Commander Hidayatur Rehman has inaugurated Army Public School in Shakai area of Wana, a subdivision of South Waziristan Agency. It is the first branch of the school in the agency. The corps commander also announced that a hospital will be established in Angoor Adda at a cost of Rs300 million and a cold storage will also be established for the storage of fruits in Wana. He made the announcement at a jirga with the elders of the Ahmadzai tribe in Scouts Camp, Wana. He spoke to the elders about peace in the area, saying they need to thwart those elements who want to disturb peace in the area. An elder, Malik Murad, who was part of the jirga, said locals do not have access to educational facilities.
