The next plan: Vehicle registration fee at NBP

This arrangement would facilitate passport and visa applicants by reducing queues at fee counters

ISLAMABAD: After the implementation of passport fee collection at all National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) branches in the federal capital, the government is mulling over arranging collection of vehicle registration fee at all NBP branches as well, across the country, to facilitate people. “The arrangement of passport fee collection at all NBP branches was initially implemented in Islamabad, now it would be expanded to over 1,300 branches across the country in phases,” said Parliamentary Secretary Finance Rana Muhammad Afzal. “This arrangement has resolved one major issue of the people, the government is committed to further resolve all issues one by one,” he added. “This arrangement would facilitate passport and visa applicants by reducing queues at fee counters and would also help in reducing the menace of agents,” said Director General Passports Usman Bajwa.
