IESCO: FIA, NAB take notice of irregularities

According to the source, 67,000 candidates had applied for various positions

The Federal Investigation Agency and the National Accountability Bureau have reportedly taken notice of irregularities in appointments in the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco), which have been made in the recent days.


According to a source in the Iesco, senior officials have appointed their own candidates on key positions while deserving and competent candidates have been ignored. Similarly, a blacklisted company was hired for setting up centres for conducting tests.


According to the source, 67,000 candidates had applied for various positions, however, favourites have been hired against the various vacant positions.
