KARACHI: Rangers informed on Monday an anti-terrorism court about the 90-day preventive detention of a suspect, identified as Rehan alias Bihari, who is said to be a political activist, for his involvement in target killings. The paramilitary force had arrested Bihari, said to be associated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Surjani sector, on the first day of Eidul Azha. On Saturday, they had obtained his transitory remand from the relevant judicial magistrate. On Monday, the Rangers told the court that Bihari is detained under Section 11EEEE of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 due to his involvement in terrorist activities and target killings. The judge also directed the Rangers to submit past medical reports of the suspect.
