Pakistan Cricket Board has decided not to include all-round cricketer Anwar Ali in the Pakistani squad in the upcoming one-day series against Zimbabwe, Express News reported on Sunday.

According to reports, the PCB chairman Shahryar Khan has accorded his approval to drop the all-rounder from the one-day team against Zimbabwe due to his poor fitness.

However, the board has decided to give Amir Yamin a chance to prove his mettle. His selection in the squad comes after the cricketer recently managed to exhibit a terrific performance in the domestic cricket.

Veteran Test batsman Younus Khan and off-spinner Saeed Ajmal were also excluded from the Zimbabwe tour.

On September 24, the Pakistani team left for Zimbabwe, where it will play two T20s and three ODIs against Zimbabwe starting from today.

The PCB had announced the T20 and ODI squads for the tour on September 16, stating that Shahid Afridi will lead the T20 team while Azhar Ali will lead the ODI team in Zimbabwe.

Sam | 8 years ago | Reply That must be a joke. He is a super fit player. pCB either hiding the truth here or simply picked up an incompetent player over him. Parchi culture lives ... I am going to stop watching and supporting Pak cricket from this point on.
