Allowances: Dar holds meeting with medics

The CADD secretary, FBR chairman, and senior finance ministry officials were also present in the meeting

A delegation of the Joint Action Committee of Federal Government Hospitals, accompanied by MNA Tariq Fazal Chaudhry called on the Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday to discuss their demands.


Discussions focused on the demand to unfreeze health allowances, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance.

The minister directed the Regulation Wing of finance ministry to work out the financial implications of unfreezing the allowance, while also taking input from CADD.

The minister told the delegation that the demand would be considered sympathetically and assured that every effort would be made to offer an acceptable solution. If required, a follow-up meeting would also be held.

The Joint Action Committee delegation included Dr Sajjad Janjua, Dr Sartaj Ali Khan, Riaz Gujjar and Raja Mohammad Ilyas. The CADD secretary, FBR chairman, and senior finance ministry officials were also present in the meeting.
