NAUDERO: Over 5,000 policemen, Rangers and intelligence officers have been deployed to provide security during the third death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto.

Scores of party office-bearers and activists are likely to attend Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Benazir Bhutto’s anniversary, scheduled to be held at Garhi Khuda Buksh on Monday, December 27.

The Sindh government has issued orders to all DCOs, DPOs and EDOs of Health to provide security and establish medical camps on the routes through which caravans will pass. Each district will also send two ambulances with doctors, paramedics and medicines to Garhi Khuda Buksh. Everyone will have to pass through walk-through metal detectors. President Zardari will also chair the party’s Central Executive Committee’s meeting on Sunday evening. The leaves of all doctors and paramedics at Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, have been cancelled and senior consultants have been directed to be on duty at all times.
