Under consideration: Microsoft Innovation Centre in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Microsoft is considering establishing the Microsoft Innovation Centre in Peshawar in collaboration with the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Information Technology Department. According to a handout, Secretary Science and Technology and Information Technology, Syed Zafar Ali Shah, chaired the meeting while the delegation was led by Microsoft Pakistan Country Manager Nadeem Ahmad Malik. The meeting discussed in detail the opportunities and avenues of collaboration and cooperation among the Provincial Information Technology Department, Microsoft and K-P Information Technology Board for the promotion of information technology in the province with special focus on e-governance. It was agreed in the meeting that a roadmap will be developed for extending support to the youth and private entrepreneurship of the province.
