In custody: NAB arrests PWD executive engineer

NAB K-P arrested Pakistan Public Works Department Executive Engineer Pervez Khan in the city. According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the executive director had accumulated assets beyond known sources of income.


“NAB took cognisance of the matter and conducted a thorough enquiry,” read the statement. “The investigation revealed Pervez owned moveable and immoveable property in his name and in the name of his dependents.” The press release added Pervez had also accumulated a large number of assets during his service at PWD and the Communication and Works department. The accumulated wealth includes property in Tangi tehsil, Charsadda, Islamabad, Abbottabad and Peshawar.


“The accused also owns marble mines in Mohmand Agency and accumulated a huge bank balance, which cannot be accounted for,” stated the press release. Pervez will be produced before an accountability court to obtain his physical remand.
