The JUI-F chief apprised the prime minister of the proceedings of his meeting with MQM's senior leadership on Tuesday at the party headquarters, Nine Zero, in Karachi.
"The premier and the JUI-F chief agreed that MQM's politics is unpredictable and at any time they can return to the assemblies," a source privy to the development told The Express Tribune.

The prime minister appreciated the role of the JUI-F chief with regards to political harmony, stability and reconciliation.
Maulana Fazl has been assigned to resolve the controversy and convince MQM legislators to take back their resignations. Following an attack on party MNA Rashid Godil in Karachi, both the JUI-F and MQM decided to hold the next round of talks in Islamabad.
"The next round of talks will be attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and the MQM delegation will meet the premier after," the source added.
Fazl, during his first ever visit to the MQM’s party headquarters, had aimed to woo MQM parliamentarians back to the assemblies after party lawmakers had announced to submit their resignations over their reservations on the Rangers operations in Karachi.

The MQM had resigned from the National Assembly, the Senate and the Sindh Assembly last week, citing 19 reasons but primarily due to its ‘victimisation’ in the ongoing Rangers-led operation in the Karachi.
Meanwhile, the JUI-F chief while talking to media said negotiations with the MQM will begin once Godil’s condition was stable.
All apprehensions of the MQM will be addressed, he added.
