Commandant Police College Sihala Dr Sohail Habib Tajik while talking with The Express Tribune said that the biometric system not only covered shortage of manpower but also played a role in elimination of corruption at the institution.
He said that attendance of security officials, recruits, management personnel and trainers have all been all have been migrated onto the new system.
Tajik explained that in the manual system corruption was rife. Further, the large staff needed to uphold the manual system was a strain on their resources.
He hoped that the biometric system will provide them a better system to bank on.
