The South African team is currently in Bangladesh playing their first Test match against the hosts. Their game however, has been constantly interrupted by rain.

While most South African players were happy to stay in their warm, dry rooms, right-arm fast bowler Dale Steyn was tempted to make other plans.

An hour later, Steyn decided- after much deliberation- to go out in the rain and play barefooted football  with kids outside his hotel. The video shows Steyn, donned in a sleeveless white T-shirt,  passing the ball through the defender's legs.

His presence was special for the local kids and they expressed their excitement on twitter.

The bowler's remarks earlier this year were the cause of much controversy and outcry as he said that the tour to Bangladesh was a profitless activity for him. In his opinion, the deliveries left in him should have been spent on major tournaments. These statements led to a lot of 'Steyn-bashing' by Bangladesh fans who criticized the tactless statement of the pacer.
