Paying respects: Shangla police remember martyred colleagues

The police force is always on frontline to protect the country from all forces working against it

Well-wishers of martyred policemen who died in on-going operations against anti-state elements in Shangla gathered to remember their sacrifices at an event organised in Alpuri on Eidul Fitr.


DPO Faisal Shahzad, who organised the event at the police Lines, paid tribute to the 18 policemen who died in the line of duty in the district.

Shazad highlighted the sacrifices of police officials who stood in the face of death, and sacrificed their lives for peace and security of the country. “The police force is always on frontline to protect the country from all forces working against it.”

He said the police had revised its strategy in Shangla and was working on projects to support all victims of war, including families of those who are martyred.

Police officials also distributed Eid packages among the families of the martyred policemen.

Sayed Sajid Shah, a social worker from Shangla, said, “The nation commends the efforts of those who sacrifice themselves to ensure peace and security for others.” He said the families of the martyrs would never be abandoned.
