MARDAN:

A four-member team of the National Accountability Bureau raided the main campus of Abdul Wali Khan University in Mardan on Tuesday to check records for any irregularities in staff appointments.

The varsity’s focal person Sher Alam told journalists they approached the high court after the raid but the Ehtesab Commission (EC) also came into the loop and is now trying to take the situation in its hands.

Alam added the university’s legal team challenged the EC’s investigation as NAB is already looking into this case.

So far, NAB has collected information on appointments from BPS-01 to BPS-16 in the varsity and taken the documents in its custody, added Alam. He asserted NAB is responsible for investigating irregularities and not the EC.

mojo | 8 years ago | Reply NAB officials need to do an impartial investigation and do not perform a cover-up like the rumored gossip. Mr Sher Aslam emphasis on being investigated by NAB not EC smells a foul underhand deal. Concerned quarters please take note of this huge loss of public property,
