ISLAMABAD:


A one-week course on “Skill-Based Alternative Dispute Resolution and New Laws” for civil judges-cum-magistrates began at the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) Islamabad on Monday.


FJA Director-General Fakhar Hayat while addressing the inaugural session highlighted the growing importance and scope of the subject in modern world.


Besides FJA faculty, eminent legal practioners, law experts and professionals will provide a comprehensive and practical introduction of alternative dispute resolution, mediation skills, and conflict resolution.


In addition, the trainees will also be imparted training in new laws such as Anti-Money Laundering Act, laws on domestic violence and harassment of women at the workplace, environment, cyber crimes and news dimensions in medical jurisprudence, among others.
