ISLAMABAD: Former Foreign Minister Hina Rabanni Khar on Saturday dispelled rumours about quitting the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and said that she will “swim and sink together” with it.

"These are unsubstantiated rumours, please ignore," Hina Rabbani Khar told The Express Tribune.

Earlier this week, rumours were rife that Hina might be joining Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). However, the former foreign minister confirmed that she will not be joining PTI.

On Friday night, Hina's father also denied the reports of her exit from the party.

If the Khars benefitted from the PPP's rule, they should not now abandon it for greener pastures. Then again, PTI may not have made them a lucrative offer; and Khars only add to the coterie of feudals that constitute the backbone of PPP.
