Civil Lines : Teenager commits suicide

RAWALPINDI: A teenager committed suicide on Wednesday in the Civil Lines area, police said. The deceased, identified as Mir Qasim, 17, hanged himself by a tree on Adiala Road. Civil Lines Sub-Inspector Qaiser Naseer said that the deceased’s father Ghulam Din told the police that his son had been diagnosed with depression and had attempted to commit suicide before. According to the police, the body was shifted to District Headquarter Hospital for postmortem, after which it was handed over to the family for burial.
