MULTAN: A woman died after she fell into a ravine while crossing Pul Siraat in Sakhi Sarwar. A Rescue 1122 spokesman said Ghulam Fatima, 40, a resident of Mian Channu was crossing the bridge to fulfil a pledge. They said she was accompanied by her husband Ghulam Rasool. He said she had slipped and fell in the ravine. She was rushed to a hospital where she died. Her husband told police that his wife had come here to pray for a son. “We had two daughters who died soon after birth,” he said. He said his wife had miscarried twice.  He said they had gone to the shrine of Sakhi Sarwar and later, she had gone alone to cross the bridge as part of her mannat.
