PESHAWAR: Leader of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in South Waziristan Khalid Khan, alias Khan Saeed Sajna, was critically injured in the aerial attacks carried out by Pakistan Air Force jets 48 hours ago, a security official told The Express Tribune on Thursday. PAF jets had pounded Shawal and Datta Khel areas where militants were holed in. The official said that Sajna was injured in the bombardment in which 13 other militants were killed and several hideouts were destroyed. According to sources, Sajna has appointed Mufti Noor Wali acting head of the group. The Sajna faction had split up with the TTP owing to differences with Hakimullah Meshud.
