AKORA KHATTAK, NOWSHEHRA: At least three persons sustained injuries as a result of a hand grenade attack in Akora Khattak area of district Nowshehra on Thursday evening.

According to eyewitnesses, two persons riding on a motorbike threw a hand grenade in the main bazaar of Akora Khattak, causing injuries to three including a woman and a child.

The injured were first shifted to a local hospital, and were later referred to the District Headquarter Hospital Nowshehra. Doctors termed their conditions out of danger.

Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
