Twitter suspends account of charity linked to JuD

Account of Falah-e-Insanyat Foundation was suspended by Twitter

The Twitter account of charity Falah-e-Insanyat Foundation, which is linked to Jamaatud-Dawa (JuD), was suspended by the social network.

While no official comments were available from either side, hashtag #bringbackFIF began circulating, with JuD supporters, FIF sympathisers posting images and stories highlighting the organisation’s relief work.

Earlier in December 2014, the official Twitter accounts of JuD and its chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed were suspended by Twitter without any prior warning or notification.

The group blamed India for putting pressure on the micro blogging website to suspend its accounts.
