2,200 awarded degrees by Dow University

Students from the 2014 and 2015 batches graduated on Sunday.

KARACHI: Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) held their sixth convocation on Sunday, May 24, where 2,200 students from eight different programmes from the 2014 and 2015 batches received their degrees.

Gold medals were conferred upon Irma Anis, Abdul Ghani Iqbal, Iqra Muhammad Aslam and Tasneem Fatima. The degrees were awarded to the graduates of MBBS, BDS, nursing and medical technology and postgraduates.

DUHS vice-chancellor Prof Masood Hameed Khan spoke about the progress of the university, which has produced 7,382 undergraduate and 1,190 postgraduate students. Prof Khan said the vision and mission of DUHS is focused on three domains that include academic excellence, human resource development and community healthcare. The University has, since its inception, been involved in the provision of health services to the community said Khan.
