Unidentified Corpse: Woman’s body recovered from canal

FAISALABAD: The body of a woman was recovered from a canal near Chak Jhumra police station on Friday.  Police said a passer-by saw a body floating in Rakh Branch Canal in Chak 162-RB and informed the police.   The police recovered the body. They said the woman appeared to be around 25-years-old and had died two or three days ago. The body was sent to a mortuary for post-mortem examination. Police said they had been unable to ascertain the identity of the woman but were looking for her family.
