LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed its senior General Manager (GM) for International Cricket Subhan Ahmad as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Ahmad takes on the role after Wasim Bari.

“It’s an honor for me to have been appointed as the new chief operating officer at the PCB,” said Ahmad. “I will accept my appointment as yet another challenge and will work with dedication to further the cause of Pakistan cricket.”

Ahmad claims that he is bent on bringing back international cricket to Pakistan and labels it as his most important goal. “We will work closely with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and our partners in other cricketing boards to help realise this critical goal,” said Ahmad. “I am confident that with the support of the public and the media we will be able to convince the world of resuming international cricket to the level it was in the past.”

The newly-appointed COO, with his enduring role as GM for International Cricket, had also been serving for the PCB as an acting director of human resource and administration. He was recruited as a statistician in the early 1990s by former chief executive officer Arif Ali Abbasi and with time established himself as a committed employee as he tackled international cricket affairs with the ICC, the Asian Cricket Council, and other international boards.
