PESHAWAR: Two alleged militants were arrested by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) from Ring Road on Saturday morning and explosives along with materials used in making homemade bombs were seized from them. Based on an intelligence report, CTD officials arrested Javed and Sohail; both men belong to Bara, Khyber Agency and are currently residing in Shamshato Refugee Camp and Landi Akhun Ahmad, respectively.  The accused men were travelling on a motorbike when CTD officials stopped them around 6am and confiscated a ghee tin packed with four kilogrammes of explosives. They were then handed over to Pishtakhara police who registered an FIR and initiated further investigation. Earlier, a bomb had targeted a military convoy in the area Javed and Sohail were arrested from and they are believed to be involved in planting that device. The police are interrogating the two men.
