LAHORE: Education Minister Mashhood Ahmed Khan said on Thursday Pakistani students, particularly girls, were excelling in all fields and were proving their mettle. He was addressing the 78th convocation of the Kinnaird College for Women.  He said the youth must be equipped with education to cope with challenges of extremism and unemployment. He said it was a matter of pride that Pakistani women were doing great in many fields and working alongside men for the country’s development. Khan said girl students of Daanish School, Hasilpur, had earned laurels for Pakistan by securing fifth position at an international competition arranged by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).  “It is our mission that no child should remain out of school by 2018 under the Parho Punjab, Barho Punjab programme.” He said campuses of 11 universities were being set up in Lahore Knowledge Park. Board of Directors chairman Bishop Alexander John Malik and Principal Rukhsana David were also present. More than 600 students were awarded degrees.
