Omar Associates post 349 on day one

KPT end play on 2-0 in Patron’s Trophy Grade II final

KARACHI: Bilal Asif scored a century while Jalat Khan and Muhammad Aamir contributed with a fifty each to give Omar Associates a first-innings total of 349 against Karachi Port Trust (KPT) on the opening day of the four-day final of Patron’s Trophy Grade II at the National Stadium of Karachi on Sunday.

Put in to bat, Omar Associates posted 349 in 81.1 overs before being dismissed.

Asif scored 103 off 153 balls, smashing 11 fours and three sixes along the way, while Jalat hit 70 off 73 with 13 fours and one six to his credit. Aamir smashed eights boundaries and two sixes to make 58 off 65.

KPT’s Adeel Malik claimed five wickets and gave away 126 runs, while Baber Rehman ended the day with figures of 3-58 and Bilawal claims two  wickets for 69 runs.

At the end of play, KPT were batting on 2-0 after three overs of play.
