KARACHI: The schedule for Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh has been confirmed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) finally after days of negotiations ended on a positive note and, as expected, both sides will play one T20I, two Tests and three ODIs.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was keen to receive a big chunk of profit from the tour — as much as 50% from the tour on grounds of BCB not fulfilling the promise of sending their national team to Pakistan.

The dates

The tour will start on April 13 and will end on May 10.

Pakistan will reach Dhaka on April 13 and will have a practice match before the tour officially gets underway with the three-match one-day series in Mirpur Cricket Stadium, Dhaka on April 17, 19 and 22.

The Mirpur Stadium will remain the centre of the attention for the whole tour with the solitary T20I being played there as well, while it will also host the last Test.

Khulna is the only other venue which will hold an official match of the series – the first Test from April 28 to May 2.

Formalities decided

“Everything has been discussed between the two boards and there is no hindrance for the tour to take place as planned,” PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan told The Express Tribune. “Hopefully, everything will go well and smoothly.”

Meanwhile, the BCB has decided to pay $325,000 to the PCB as compensation for postponing the two tours to Pakistan in 2012.

This has broken the ice on the long negotiations between the counterparts.

After Sunday's board meeting, BCB president Nazmul Hassan said that the PCB had asked for $900,000 but the BCB weren't willing to pay more than $300,000.

"We have decided to give $325,000 to the PCB," BCB president Nazmul Hassan said, according to Cricinfo. "They demanded $900,000. We didn't want to give more than $300,000. I think it will solve the situation. We have let them know in a letter that this cannot be discussed in the future. It has been cleared."
