A play was staged here on Wednesday highlighting how honest individuals were struggling against corrupt elements at various levels of the Pakistani society.

The play, “Ghar tu Akhir Apna Hai” written by Nisar Razmi and directed by Tahir Siddiqui was staged at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) auditorium in connection with the Pakistan Day celebrations, said a press release.

The play was an attempt to showcase the contemporary social order and behaviour of the society at large towards various issues.

“Ghar tu Akhir Apna Hai” underlined the various evils confronting Pakistani society and damaging its image abroad.

Renowned television, film and stage actors from the twin cities performed in front of a jam-packed audience to much applause.

The play started with a ghostly character trying to erase the motherland. It highlighted how various corrupt segments of the society were weakening the national economy and the resistance shown by the upright and honest individuals.

The message was delivered through comic gestures and well-written dialogues.

The performance was very well received by the audience.
