LAHORE: A Lahore court extended on Wednesday the physical remand of the suspects of Abeera murder case for a further three days after they retracted from their earlier confession of killing the 20-year-old model.

Tooba told the police that she did not kill Abeera. However, the police said that after investigation they found two bottles of poison in Tooba’s room which she allegedly bought from her accomplices Farooqur Rehman and his friend Zeeshan.

Further, the police said that the poison was worth about Rs20,000.

Just last week, the main suspect in murder case, Izma Rao alias Tooba, had confessed to killing the Lahore-based model by poisoning her yoghurt. Initial forensic reports of the 20-year-old also confirmed the cause of death as poisoning.

However, after being put on the physical remand, Tooba is now taking back her confession and saying that she had nothing to do with the aspiring model’s murder.

“I’m being wrongfully implicated,” she said.
