The body of a six-year-old boy was found in Wazirabad area of Tank district on Monday, an official of Saddar police told The Express Tribune.
According to the police official, the deceased, identified as Muhammad Saeed, was found decapitated, with his remains dumped in a bag. His body was then taken to District Headquarters Hospital Tank for a post-mortem.
“Saeed was kidnapped by unidentified persons a day earlier from Elahiabad,” said the official. “He belonged to the Mehsud tribe of South Waziristan but was residing in Tank.” The official said Saddar police has registered the case and a search for the murderer is under way.
On the other hand, two Afghans were arrested during search operations in different areas of DI Khan, said an official of Gomal police station.
