Smuggling at airport: Man held with heroin

The suspect confessed to swallowing 80 heroin-filled capsules.

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Sunday arrested a foreigner from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport for trying to smuggle heroin out of the country. The suspect, Chicovegkov Festo Odogo, is a Nigerian national and was trying to smuggle the contraband to North Africa via Doha and Turkey. The suspect confessed to swallowing 80 heroin-filled capsules. He was taken to Benazir Bhutto Hospital where an X-ray confirmed the presence of capsules in his abdomen. The doctors recovered the capsules and ANF registered a case.
