ISLAMABAD: Ahmed Nawaz, an injured student of Army Public School, would be leaving for Birmingham on Thursday afternoon for medical treatment, Express News reported.
Nawaz, a student of grade nine, was shot on the unfateful day of December 16 when Taliban gunmen stormed into the army-run school in Peshawar, killing 150 people, including 132 children.
The 15-year-old arrived at the Benazir International Airport in Islamabad to travel on PK-791.
The family of the young victim said Nawaz would soon attend his classes at the school, after the treatment of his injuries in the UK.
'We are not afraid of any terrorists," the father of 15-year-old said, adding that Nawaz will join Pakistan Army once he completes his education.
Two doctors will also be accompanying Nawaz, during the flight, for his assistance.
The 15-year-old was admitted at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) where doctors advised his parents to shift him to another facility as the injuries on his arm could not be treated at LRH and doctors feared Nawaz might lose his limb.
Following this, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had approved Rs30.6 million for his treatment abroad.
