Blizzard : Snowfall closes several roads in AJK

Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more rain and snowfall in AJK on Monday and Tuesday.

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) received another spell of snowfall on Sunday. It was the second spell in 10 days. Peerchanasi, Neelum Valley, Haveli, Leepa Valley and other parts of upper areas in AJK received snowfall on Sunday morning. Leepa-Muzaffarabad, Las Dana, Bahdi, Sherudhara, Haveli and Taubutt-Kel roads were closed for all kinds of traffic. Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more rain and snowfall in AJK on Monday and Tuesday. According to Met Office, Upper Neelum Valley received one feet, Sherudahara in Haveli district two feet, Mahmood Gali two feet and Leepa Valley over three feet of snow on Sunday. Weather forecast says plains of AJK will remain in the grip of cold wave over the coming two days.
