Reasons unknown: Boy shoots lover, kills himself

A resident of Kacha Garhi, Nowshera shot and injured his paramour here on Saturday and later committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.

According to an official of Pabbi police station, Waseem asked Shahbano*, a resident of Khudrizi, to meet him in the area. During the meeting, Waseem took out his gun and shot the girl and later himself due to reasons unknown.

Waseem died on the spot while the girl was injured. Locals rushed both of them to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced the boy dead while the girl was shifted to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar due to her critical condition.

Police have registered a case on the complaint of the girl’s father and an investigation is under way. (*Name has been changed to protect identity)
