FRANCE: A French court has told a family that they can not name their new born baby "Nutella" Metro reported.
The court advised the parents in Valenciennes that naming their child after the brand Nutella could be 'against the child's interests'.
Born on September 24, 2014 a registrar highlighted the name to the town's court and had told the family that the baby had to be renamed.
Similarly, a second family from Raismes gave birth to a child who they named Fraise- translated to strawberry.
Once again the court had said that the name could have a negative impact on the child adding that the name could lead to a case of mockery.
The family then decided to change the name to a more appropriate Fraisine which was once a popular name in the 19th century.
