A free day-long eye camp was arranged by MOL Pakistan as part of its corporate social responsibility in Anar Cheena village of Hangu on Sunday. “Such camps are part of a series which will continue as per the needs of locals,” said MOL Pakistan Managing Director Akos Grosz.

The activity was conducted in collaboration with Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital and  Kohat and Handu district administrations.

A medical team comprising specialist doctors and paramedics from Al-Shifa Hospital examined patients without charging any fees. A special team was also present for women.

Around 250 patients including women were examined by the doctors. Prescribed medicines and spectacles were also handed to patients on the spot. About 40 patients were referred to Al-Shifa Hospital for operations, the expenses of which will be borne by MOL Pakistan.  This was the 11th camp in the area where around 5,500 patients have been served so far.
