DI KHAN:

Unidentified miscreants allegedly set fire to the office of Zardad Khan, a local journalist, in Wana subdivision of South Waziristan Agency, a political administration official told The Express Tribune.

According to the official, the incident took place on Friday night in Kari Kot Bazaar, around 15 kilometres south-west of Wana Bazaar. Khan’s office and a medical store next to it were set ablaze. However, there were no casualties.

Khan visited his office on Saturday morning to find that the building was completely destroyed. He told The Express Tribune he had no enmity with anyone and does not know who the culprit is. However, Khan mentioned that his office had been badly damaged in an explosion in December 2011. Khan is local journalist who is also the president of Wana Press Club.
