Syndicate meeting: UoP approves new appointments

PESHAWAR:

The Syndicate of the University of Peshawar (UoP) approved 106 new additions to the varsity’s faculty during the 418th meeting of the body held on Saturday.

UoP Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan chaired the meeting that approved the appointment of 16 professors, 14 associate professors, 45 assistant professors and 31 lecturers. Appointments for the positions of deputy registrar and deputy librarian were also given a go ahead.

Government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) secretaries, Khyber Medical University Vice Chancellor Dr Hafizullah and Higher Education Commission Executive Director Dr Mansoor Akbar Kundi were among the attendees. UoP Registrar Dr Syed Fazle Hadi acted as the secretary of the meeting.

The body also approved the recommendations of the Academic Council, Affiliations and the Study Leave Committee. Moreover, premature increments for BPS 2-4 employees of the varsity were also given the green light.
