In touch with nature: ‘Rs52 million being spent on 18 parks’

The DCO directed PHA officers to utilise all available funds for the beautification of the city

FAISALABAD: Rs52 million is being spent by the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) for renovation of 18 public parks in the city, DCO Noorul Amin Mengal was told in a meeting on Friday. MNA Haji Akram Ansari and PHA officials attended the meeting. PHA officials said jogging tracks, iron fences and boundary walls were being built at the parks. They said renovations were being done Ali Park, Gulshan Park, Gousia Park, Madni Park, Rizvi Park, Gareebabad Park, New Nazimabad Park, Samnabad Park, Sir Syed Town Park, Bismillah Park, Bag-i-Jinnah Park, Canal Park, Central Park, Hajri Park, Kashmir Park and Shahbaz Sharif Park. The DCO directed PHA officials to complete the work by spring. He said nurseries should be set up and canal irrigation be arranged for public parks. The DCO directed PHA officers to utilise all available funds for the beautification of the city. He said urban development was not complete if steps were not taken to preserve the environment. He said the government was dedicated to improving the facade in Faisalabad.
