PESHAWAR:

After funeral prayers outside CM House on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said, “No religion or civilization is allowed to massacre such budding human flowers.”

He added, “God knows what beasts these terrorists were and who trained and sent them for such a devilish, heinous crime that shattered…everyone.”

Going over the details of the compensation, Khattak said, “However, the government [knows] there is no way to compensate for the precious lives lost or for the grief of shocked families.”

The national and provincial leadership will now never keep silent on acts of terrorism, said the CM.

Solid steps will be taken to satisfy people, he added. For now, he said, the police and hospitals will be on full alert. “A full consensus will be evolved on national strategies on security and terrorism as well as the K-P government’s next action on security and law and order”. He announced national flag will fly at half-mast for three days and the educational institutions will remain closed in the province.

KPK has paid too high a price in lives, precious lives each one of them not only on the 16th December, but all those that preceded in so many mindless bombings.
