GHALLANAI:

Members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Mohmand Agency chapter protested in the agency on Wednesday against the killing of their party worker who was fatally shot in Faisalabad earlier this week.

The protesters started walking from PTI’s Mohmand office, chanting slogans against the PML-N led government and demanding the arrest of the killer. The walk concluded at Mohmand Press Club in Ghallanai. Protesters also blocked the main Peshawar-Bajaur Road in front of the press club while they prayed for the slain worker.

PTI Fata organiser Sajid Mohmand told The Express Tribune the deceased Haq Nawaz Khan belonged to Chinari Safi, Mohmand Agency. He had migrated from the agency, along with his family, to Faisalabad in 2007 during militancy in the region. In Faisalabad, he was working as a cloth trader with his six brothers.

The deceased’s relative Hayat Khan said Haq was a PTI worker but was not much of an enthusiast.
