QUETTA: Three bodies were found dumped near a seasonal river in Pishin district, about 75 kilometres north of Quetta, Friday evening.

“Some passers-by of Mistarzai village spotted the bodies in the river and informed the Thana Yaro Levies,” an official of Pishin Levies told The Express Tribune.

The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Pishin, where doctors said the victims had been strangled to death. When the bodies were found, their hands were tied behind their back and their eyes were blindfolded.

There were multiple marks of torture on the bodies, which are three to four days old, medics at the hospital revealed.

The identities of the bodies could not be ascertain yet. One of the victims is said to be in his early 50s, while the other two in their early 30s.

Pishin Levies official said that the bodies would be shifted to Provincial Sandeman Hospital Quetta to determine their identities. “They look like Baloch,” an official at Pishin Levies Control Room said.
