Some of the most fashion-forward ladies stepped out for a brit-liant celebration of style at the 2014 British Fashion Awards held on December 1 at London’s Coliseum. The night shone bright with stars, each one evidently eager to hit the fashion mark. Minimal accessories were a dominant trend on the red carpet, and gladly we didn’t miss the bling. Here’s a round-up of the some of the looks from the evening.

Cara Delevingne

The 22-year-old top model pulled out all the stops for the evening. She wore a Burberry sequined gold floor-length gown, featuring panelling on the side and a thigh-split on one side. In this glitzy number, she was among the best dressed at the event. The gold embellished dress had black illusion panels at the waist, which accentuated her petite frame. With her retro-styled side-parted locks and heavy coffee-brown smoky eye, Cara exuded old Hollywood glamour. She finished her look with strappy black Burberry heels and carried a red, black and gold box clutch.

Naomi Campbell

The timeless ramp queen was a total knockout in the custom-made embellished dress from Alexander McQueen, which included a strap-heavy top. The 44-year-old model’s floor-kissing gown, which hugged her hourglass curves, earned a fashion salute from us at first sight. She looked graceful with her signature long glossy locks worn down in a sleek, poker-straight style. Her make-up was subtle yet seductive and her cat-like eyes were the main focus with kohl-lined lids and fluttery eyelashes.

Victoria Beckham

With one store and countless celebrity fans, Victoria Beckham’s brand is going from strength to strength. So, it was no surprise the designer wore her own label to the event. We loved her all-embracing pure silk, black and white maxi skirt. Heavily pleated, it featured the designer’s signature gold chain detail and did she rock it! Styled with a high-neck knit and classic black court heels, Victoria worked her statement piece beautifully. A jumper and skirt isn’t your run-of-the-mill red carpet combo, but Mrs Beckham effortlessly worked it. The nude lip and subtle eye make-up made her outfit do the talking.

Emma Watson

The actor proved that she is just as bang-on trend as the other stylish personalities who graced the event with their presence. The 24-year-old wowed on the red carpet in an eye-catching monochrome outfit. Donning a full-length white wide-legged Misha Nonoo jumpsuit and crispy black Dior tuxedo jacket, the Harry Potter star established that less really is more. The brunette beauty paired her ensemble with Christian Louboutin heels and an Anya Hindmarch clutch with an eccentric pattern. She kept her make-up simple, with just a slick of ravishing red lipstick and side-swept her glossy mane, with curls falling over one shoulder.
