KARACHI:

Iran Consul General Mehdi Subhani has invited Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) to organise a trade delegation’s visit to Iran to explore new avenues of cooperation aimed at strengthening trade ties between the two neighbouring countries.

During his visit to Karachi chamber, the Iranian envoy assured full support to the proposed visit of KCCI delegation to Iran, said KCCI release here on Wednesday.  He suggested that the delegation should include representatives from different sectors particularly from leather, textile, dairy products and confectionery items.

Pakistan can make substantial profits by exporting these products to Iran, he added.

Iranian Consul General, while discussing Iran and Pakistan bilateral ties, said that the economic and trade relations would further strengthen when next the Joint Economic Commission meeting takes place in Islamabad. Commercial Counselor of Iranian Consulate, Satar Soltan Shahi and KCCI President Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra, were also present.
