KARACHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the inaugural session of the Public Financial Management Conference organised by ICAP in Islamabad. Minister of State for Privatisation Muhammad Zubair, ICAP President Yacoob Suttar and CIPFA CEO Rob Whiteman were also present at the ceremony. The MoU is aimed at delivering strong public financial management in Pakistan and pave the way for creating a new centre for public financial management within the country. The two institutes will work together for public financial management. This will be achieved through capacity building among members of ICAP, development of a centre and other professional development opportunities for members of ICAP. The MoU reflects the overlapping interests of both bodies and their desire to share their skills, expertise and experience.
