Helping Hand: Students receive laptops for research

It was the first phase of the distribution and four more phases will follow

HYDERABAD: The Sindh University distributed 468 laptop computers among students on Friday. The laptops were given by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme. It was the first phase of the distribution and four more phases will follow. “The aim is to equip the research scholars with the laptops to help them in their research tasks,” said the acting vice-chancellor, Dr Imdad Ali Ismaili. Meanwhile, the Sindh Agriculture University also distributed 601 laptops among students. Addressing the distribution ceremony, vice-chancellor Mujeebuddin Sahrai said that the varsity has so far received 1,569 laptops from the Higher Education Commission.
